Mum's 80th Birthday

My sister called me and asked if I would make a card for Mum as she will be 80 in March.  I thought I would combine this with the Bearly-Mine Challenge #1 - A Sketch for the New Year.  This is the sketch of the layout required.  I have moved the flowers to the bottom and added the 80 to the top.  Also, into the Catch the Bug Challenge for embossing on the card.

I used a 8x8 craftworks white card blank and covered it in paper from Dovecraft's Back to Basic 12x12 stack.  I cut all the shapes including the 80 on my Cricut.  I decoupaged a stargazer lily, my sister had asked for lilies, and used Glossy Accents on flower.  The scalloped circle is embossed on my Cuttlebug.

I hope you like it.

Challenge #64 - We're Going Retro

This is my first attempt at a blog challenge.

This is for  Mo's Digital Pencil challenge #64, the only requirements were retro and using one of Mo's stamps.  So thought I would have a go!

I used this lovely image, as I thought it summed up carefree days in the 70's, this was when I was little, and surely that amounts to retro lol and the colours of oranges and browns, the orange is card stock I had a home and the spotty paper is from the Dovecraft, Piece of Cake 12x12 paper stack.  I added the blue and brown buttons to bring out the colours in the image.  The image was coloured using ProMarkers and I used a Martha Stewart punch around the page on the orange cardstock.
Hope you like it xxx

Back to School

Well the kids seem to be settling back into school after the Christmas break.  Emma has now moved into Reception and they are having their first week staggered to get them used to it.  She will go full time next week!  Cant believe where the time has gone, she is getting so grown up.  She will be there until July and then in September she will move in Year one and my son into Year 3 ...

Well, I suppose it will give me more time than just the evening to concentrate on my open university course and more time for card making of course lol.

Take care

Nathan's Birthday

I made this for Nathan's Birthday later in the month.  I used an A5 size, embossed two backing cards, one in spots and dots and the other onto coredinations card with rellie rave which I gently sanded, added some peel offs and sentiments.  The stamp is from Mo Manning.

Hope you like it xxxx
