Yay !

Yay, finally finished the Cath Kidston bag.  Did not take me long at all really, two days, making a large tote bag with oilcloth, lined and with a recessed zip, mmmm talk about baptism of fire lol.  Oh well, here are some piccies xxx

ok, so I have hemmed the sides, now it gets scary lol

Yay, managed to stitch the zip component straight!

And here it is - the finished article

And I must say, I am really rather proud of myself and impressed with myself
Was not too sure I could do it, but I have, yay!

Still up ...

Well it's 12.50am and I am still up ... sooo unlike me, I know, but I am trying to get my head round straps lol, I am making this bag, I have done the body of the bag, the lining, even managed to construct a recessed zip, but the straps ... shouldn't they be easy lol  Not when you are working with oilcloth ... sticky stuff ... oh well, maybe I should go to bed and look again in the morning xxx Goodnight :o)

Ok, here we go ... again!

Welcome, I have taken on something new ... sewing, and I love it.  I love all the beautful fabrics and embelishments and creating something from nothing more than a square of fabric and some cotton!

I have made a few items so far, some coin purses and purses with keyfobs.  I am, at the moment, making a bag for my friend's daughter to give a gift.  When it's finished I will post some pics.

I made a pretty red floral coin purse for my daughter's friends birthday and a small book bag in blue with red poppies for another of her friends birthdays.  I also have some orders for some more bags!

I am aiming at making baby nappy changing bags and accessories which I will, hopefully, be able to sell.

Here are some pics I have at the moment, some of them are not great as the camera gave up, so were using the webcam, but have since discovered that the phone takes pretty good pics!

Wow, think we are up to date for now!

See you again soon

Tooo Long

Wow, I cannot believe how long it has been since I posted on here!  So, I will blow away the cobwebs and try not to take so long next time!

I have not made very many cards lately, there are a few which I will upload shortly.

I have also bought a sewing machine, so been learning how to use that.

Mum is not too well so have been running about for her and the university degree has taken a back seat too.  So just trying to find my feet again.

I had a big clear out of all the crafty stuff I did not use and have been hanging onto for ever, so listed it all on ebay, and it all went.  Still have loads!

I also sold my cricut, a shame, but it just did not get the use it should have, so that paid for the sewing machine lol

So, will catch up again soon and pop some of my piccies on here.

Love
Gill

Mum's 80th Birthday ... again lol

Here is the card I have made for my sister to give to Mum.  I am so pleased with how this has turned out.

I used a craftworks card, the lovely Verity from Sugar Nellie and my ever faithful promarkers, Papermania sunshine paper pack and some Anna Griffin ribbon with a pearl brad.  Some glitter glue on the paper roses, some crystal balls and a dangly butterfly and there we go!

Hope you like it xxx

Commissioned 50th Birthday Card

Had a call from my sister yesterday asking if I could make a card for mum and one for her friend.  I have done the latter, here it is lol.

I made an easel card from a 5x7 blank and make a small book, which I downloaded some time ago from Craftsuprint.  My sister said it needed to have butterflies, so I think this will be ok lol!

I used 50 peel off and added some more butterflies and a little Glossy Accents.  The sentiment is from the cover pack on this months Creativity mag.

Going to work on Mum's card tonight for my sis, so will add that as soon as I can.
