Absent Again

Ok, seriously time to get my backside in gear and update my blog, but, I am under the weather at the mo, will sort out my pics and be back very soon xxx

A Little Catching up ...

Phew, a few weeks later lol

Well, what have I been upto, not too much (!).  Had another move about at home and made some new bits and bobs.  Peg bags seem to high on the agenda at the moment, must be all the sunshine we have been having lately! 

I am getting ready for a craft fair next month, so am sorting what items I should take and sewing, sewing, sewing!

I have been experimenting with a few new things; a tutu bag and ring bearer cushions, will pop on some pics, I am really pleased with them!

I also had a dabble at making a couple of skirts for my daughter, I think they came out quite well and she loves them, which is the important part!

Nothing like a bit of bling!  Did this with my new toy a Hot Fix Applicator, I have also done a butterfly on a white t-shirt, have not taken a pic yet tho, this goes lovely with her skirts!  (There are not two missing, they are blak stones, lol)

As I mentioned, I am busy making for the craft fair next month in Codicote, so I will upload some pics again soon.

Cath Kidston

My Cath Kidston oilcloth supply has taken a real battering this last couple of weeks, I have made a messenger bag and a cross body bag, I don't have much left now and I cant find any more :o(

Getting My Head Around TimeLine for Pages on FB

FB chages again!  Now TimeLine is for pages too, so sat at the laptop last night and made my logo fit the new sized box then I created a new banner and, hey, that fits too!  Why not pop over and take a look.

So, now I have received from having my teeth out although I still cant manage to eat normally and eat like a rabbit, I am actually getting on with some sewing.

I made a larger sized coin purse with a special request for a strawberry hangy thing on the zip and matching business card holder for the lovely Emilie at Happy Green Frog and I am loving the ladybird button x

Now I am starting a new ladies wallet purse order in a fab purple dotty fabric, yum!

Been In Hospital

Had a bit of an emergency run to a&e on Saturday morning and ended up staying in.  Just got home late this afternoon!  So now I have a lovely pile of fabric waiting for me to get stuck into and some orders to fill.  But right now I am really tired and off for some real sleep! xx

Welcome Reggie

We became Great Auntie Gill and Great Uncle Jason recently, so amongst the bibs and nappy wallets I gave, I thought I would make some bunting ... so here it is, I have also added buttons onto the flags, they were sooo cute I could not resist, and it will be up high, so no fear of little fingers pulling at them xxx

Then, could not leave it at that, lol, and made some burp cloths as well lol



Good Morning

Well I have managed to finish Sharon's order.  Here is the beach bag ...

And the rucksack ... I am so proud of this one, I used a tutorial from U-Handbags, just changed it from oilcloth to fabric, Lisa is fab!

And finally for today, some burp cloths, these are about 20 x 10 inches and backed with towelling.  Not for Sharon, but a little make from last night!

Not much more for today, my face is really swollen as I have a bad tooth, so am off to the dentist later, wish me luck!

Market Stalls

Went to St Albans market this morning, my friend has told me that there are fabric stall, well there is one chap, he is fantastic.  Got a few half metres, fine cord in red and blue and a pink/cream and black tartan type pattern  ... hang on will take a  pic

Bunting, Bunting, Bunting!

Wow, I managed to get to the shops, buy the fabric and make the orange bunting today, it's now all packed up ready to go tomorrow, I amaze myself sometimes lol  I also put a little orange rosebud on each orange flag, just thought it finished it off.

The piccie is not very good as it was a bit gloomy today x

I ran a prize draw on my facebook page, a winner was picked randomly from "likes" and the pize was a 3m string of bunting.  A lovely lady won and I just waiting on her fabric so I can make her bunting ... butterflies and flowers, hope she likes it!

Also am still working on Sharon's orders, these are coming along well, amd tackling the backpack at the moment, I thought it would be a little daunting, but so far, so good!  Hope it does not all crumble around me now lol  I am using a tut from U Handbag just love Lisa Lam's site.  When its completed I will post some pics.

Well, it's well past my bedtime now and so before I nod off on here I am off

Busy and Loving It!

Busy making up orders for Sharon, the bunting is complete and the luscious red purse, working on the mini backpack now then the beach bag ... although had my FIRST order through my facebook page last night, for bunting, need to fit it in as they need it by next Monday!!!  Oh no, fabric shopping again lol

Nearly 2012

Well, we are nearly there, 2012 I mean!  I have had a tidy up and got my order book out, I have some orders from my lovely friend Sharon to do, and, oh no, that means more fabric shopping!!!

My friend, Claire, told me about a shop in St Albans, and oh wow! it is fabulous, thousands of fabric, more than you can ever imagine in such a compact space, and I found the exact one i wanted for Sharon's bunting!

I also picked up a couple of odds and ends and two cushion panels, which I shall make up soon.

I have been thinking about next Christmas too, and planning my makes: stockings, bunting and stocking advent bunting, I have seen this and I love it!  Got to have a go.  So even tho the Christmas holidays are still here, I am planning next year!

Phew ... All Finished for 2011 (I think!)

The teachers gifts are finished, wrapped and given, I did however, forget to take a piccie, but they have a make up bag (the flat ones) and a matching coin purse.  Hope they like them.

I also make my last order today, a plastic bag holder/dispenser, type thingy!  It has to be pink, so here it is.

Not the easiest thing to take a piccie of, but you get the general idea!

Nearly Christmas!

Woo hoo, nearly Christmas lol

Been suffering with an infection in my tooth so not been upto much, but did manage to make some bunting and now I just need to finish the teachers gifts.

Door Stop

Wooo, two posts in one night lol

Here is the door stop I have made for my friend at school.  It is made from pink polka dot oilcloth and filled with rice and lavender.  I have added a velcro flap at the base so the filling can be changed or topped up when needed.

Now bed is calling me.  Night Night. xxx

My Sister's Bags!

Yay!  Finally, through the trials and tribulations of parenthood, I have managed to finish my sisters bags and matching purses, I hope she likes them!

It is late and so the light is not very good, but they are Golden brown, plum, silver and silver/grey all with matching purses.

Yay, It's December!

Good morning.  Well it's finally here, December, I mean!  And now the panic really sets in, I looked at the list of things I still have to do before ChChristmas; I need to complete my sister's bags for her to give as pressies, one is done and the matching coin purses are done, so that's a plus!  The kids gifts for the teachers need to be done and I have an order for a door stop.  Then that's me til the new year.

Monday ... Already!

I handed over the cosmetic bags today and they were very well received, so I was really pleased.  Then as I was leaving the playground, I get another request, for a doorstop.  Still have to get on with my sisters bags, so think I will be working on those tonight and tomorrow.  They are in the most gorgeous fabric and will post some piccies when they are done.  Today has been taken up with shopping, the boring food sort, so back to sewing tonight, but off to pick up the kiddies from school now.
